Keys. To open the house for the first time, use the key in the safety box to the left of the door (I'll give you a temporary passcode). Don't take that key with you: open the door and leave it back inside the box. There are two main-door keys on the dining-room table for your use.
Safe. There is a safe in the wardrobe of bedroom 2 for your valuables (with instructions). Please leave it open at check-out.

Keys. Leave both sets of keys on the dining-room table.
Shutters. Leave the green shutters closed.
Rubbish. Leave any remaining rubbish in its bins (see the “Rubbish” section).

Waste is separated at home into the corresponding bins. There is a daily collection schedule; a copy is posted on a fridge magnet. On the day and at the time corresponding to each type of waste, the bag is transferred to the white multi-compartment bin. The white bin is placed next to the car entrance gate. Once collected, return the bin to the inside of the property.
At checkout, leave any remaining rubbish in its bins.
You can also take the sorted bags to the large containers near the village.

7Water
The water comes from the public network supplied by the company Acasa. For drinking we recommend using bottled water, because tap water is very calcareous.
In case of problems with the water supply, please call the owner.
↑ Back to index8Hot water
Hot water is produced by an electric heater located in the storage room.
↑ Back to index9Power supply
There are two electrical panels, one main and one secondary. The main one is in the storage room, next to the door that leads to the kitchen. The secondary one is in the kitchen, on the other side of that door.
To cut off the supply, the leftmost switch of the main panel is turned off (down).
When there is excess consumption in the house, a general cut may occur. In this case, the leftmost switch of the main panel must be turned off and, after at least one minute in this position, turned on again.
In case of any incident in the electrical panels, such as the sudden shutdown of any switch on either panel, please notify the owner as soon as possible.

10Emergency lighting
In the event of a power failure, there are some flashlights in the kitchen, inside the cabinet above the refrigerator, that can be used while the fault lasts.

11Fire protection
There are three fire extinguishers in the house:
- Dry powder extinguisher, located in the living room, next to the fireplace.
- Dry powder extinguisher, located in the upstairs bathroom.
- CO2 extinguisher, located under the main electrical panel.
Also in the kitchen there is a fire blanket to use in case of fire in a kitchen pan. Remove the blanket by pulling the straps and spread it over the fire.

12First aid kit
There is a first aid kit for urgent care in the downstairs bathroom.

13Internet
The house has a fibre optic Internet connection supplied by Movistar.
In case of problems, check whether the four lights on the front of the Movistar router, located on a small shelf in the living room, are lit in blue. If this is not the case, notify the owner.

14Cleaning and household linen
The house is delivered clean and equipped with bed linen and bath towels.
If replacement sheets or towels are needed, please contact the owner.
In each room there are duvets that can be put inside the covers in case of cold.
The house has a washing machine and dishwasher. In the cupboards under the kitchen sink there is detergent for both.
Two portable clotheslines are available in the storage room.
For stays longer than one week, bed linen and towels will be replaced within that period.
Please leave the house in good condition at the end of your stay.
↑ Back to index15Garden watering
Watering is done automatically on a schedule during the night hours.
↑ Back to index16Neighbours
We ask that no noise be produced that may disturb the neighbours, especially at bedtime, approximately from 0:00 to 8:30, and during siesta hours, from 15:00 to 17:00 approximately.
Especially avoid talking loudly on the terrace attached to the kitchen from 0:00, due to its proximity to the neighbouring bedrooms. From that time it is preferable to move to other areas of the garden, unless the neighbours are not at home.
↑ Back to index17Mosquitoes
Some mosquitoes usually appear at sunset, and it is also possible for some to enter the bedrooms at night. In the cabinet above the fridge there are plug-in repellents, which work with both liquid refills and tablets.
We also advise the use of body repellents if you stay outside at sunset.
↑ Back to index18Complaint forms
Official complaint forms are available to guests in the house, next to this manual. (Deadline to submit them: 3 months.)
You can also download the official form from the Consumer Affairs website of the Government of the Balearic Islands: caib.es ↗.
